Oklahoma, you're O.K. !
Woohoo! My book made it on the BEST BOOK 2009 list for "Tulsa World" newspaper! I worked so darned hard on this project, we're talking "up at night" hard- and it feels so incredibly wonderful that someone read it and connected to it. Today is lovely.

Peanut Butter Bacon Cookies, for humans.
I've gotta say... hearing that something like a peanut butter bacon cookie existed made me cheer with joy. Why? I'm not quite sure. It just sounds so exciting! Exotic even! A friend passed along this recipe and I couldn't resist making them.
Peanut butter bacon cookies
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
5 slices of crumbled bacon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine first 5 ingredients until well mixed.
Fold in crumbled bacon.
Roll into large balls and smoosh on to a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 10 min until lightly, browned.
I ate three of these and sprouted fluffy ears and a waggly tail.
Everyone should try them once.

My Catalina Island tile earrings have gotten major love from the smashing British fashion blog, "Beyond the Pale". Besides running an alluring guide to fashion, Miss Nightingale, writer of said smashing British fashion blog, is also a perfume maker and a contributing writer to the perfume website, "Fragrantica". She also runs a perfumery over at Etsy.
